Eastern Region carried out trainings for a total of 200 dairy farmers on good dairy husbandry practices in Jinja City, Jinja district, and Iganga district.

Eastern Region carried out trainings for a total of 200 dairy farmers on good dairy husbandry practices in Jinja City, Jinja district, and Iganga district.

The trained farmers belonged to Butagaya DFC (Jinja district) & Budondo DFC (Jinja City) and Bulamaji Subcounty in Iganga district.

Additionally, a total of 4 improved pasture demo gardens were established, one (1) in Jinja and Bugweri districts respectively and two (2) in Mayuge district.

The dairy cooperatives covered were Butagaya DFC, Baitambogwe DFC & Bugweri DFC.

The established pasture was Sugar Napier grass for all gardens while a small portion of Chloris gayana and lablab was done for only 1 garden
